| As all of you know, July 5, 2021, was the deadline for submitting names for nominations for the election of new officers of HLCnova. We are fortunate to have two people for the following nominations:President: Joe DuarteVice President: Meg DuarteThe candidates are not competing with each other. Both people have agreed to serve in the two officer positions. Both have been emailed and are ready to start the new season on September 1, 2021. Both candidates have been members of the HLCnova board since November 2018. Joe Duarte founded and served as president of HLCnova from November 2018 until September 2019 and Meg Duarte served as secretary and recorder during that period. The next step is to finalize the vote for the candidates by August 1, 2021. The HLCnova membership will be notified of the finalization with a newsletter on August 9, 2021. The present officers and Planning Committee chairperson will work with the new slate of officers and committee members during the month of August. The new officers will then assume the helm on September 1, 2021. Here’s wishing everyone a safe and wonderful summer! |
