“What you need to know about cochlear Implants:
Modern Candidacy, Outcomes, and Resources”

Michael Hoa, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Hoa is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and neurotology. In addition to his duties as a neurotologist. Dr. Hoa is a clinician-scientist in the intramural research program at the National Institute for Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). His interest is in hearing restoration through regeneration of inner ear cell types, including hair cells. Along with Dr. Jeffrey Kim, Dr. Hoa serves as the co-director of the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Cochlear Implant Program.
